Greywater Workshop: Laundry to Landscape

SRF with the support of the Watershed Fund is excited to announce a Greywater workshop, installation, and book signing with greywater guru, Laura Allen. This event included presentations on the benefits and nuts and bolts of greywater installation, an overview of California’s plumbing code pertinent to greywater applications, and Humboldt County’s greywater policy. A demonstration project gave participants a hands-on opportunity to learn about the design elements, plumbing requirements, layout, and actually install a greywater system.
North Coast Water Conservation Workshop

Topics covered included community water conservation programs, water rights, greywater installation, and building resilience for salmon recovery.

Water Conservation and Tributary Stewardship Workshop

On Saturday, January 30 Sanctuary Forest and Salmonid Restoration Federation hosted a water conservation and stewardship education workshop at the Beginnings Octagon in Briceland. The workshop aimed to help prepare local landowners for future droughts, to educate and inform about water rights and to protect anadromous species and habitat.

Redwood Creek Community Water Meeting

Water Conservation & Coho Salmon Recovery Open House

This workshop provided an opportunity for landowners and residents to learn about the The Southern Oregon Northern California (SONCC) Recovery Plan and how it will be implemented in key watersheds. This also served as an open house to provide an opportunity for residents to discuss stresses and threats to salmon, and brainstorm strategies to improve habitat conditions in order to conserve local salmon populations.
